Florent

Florent is 11.5" tall and has been made from a beautiful heather on pistachio backed, silk viscose velvet. The fabric has been distressed to give the appearance of wear and some of the worn areas have been hand embroidered with over 30 free hand, floral motifs, to give the impression of considered, decorative repairs stitched at some point in his past. This delicate fabric has been fully lined with a matching hand dyed interface to give it strength and durability. Florent is 5 way jointed and filled mainly with wood wool for a slightly scrunchy feel. His wrinkled tummy however, has a slightly squishy feel with the the addition of some polyester fibre. Florent is heavily weighted with steel granules. His glass eyes and mossy brown stitched and wax nose have been gently enhanced with a little subtle hand shading.  To finish he wears a hand dyed cotton tulle ruffle which fastens with a thin silk ribbon trimmed with little bronze colour crimps.
