Elara

Elara is a new design and my smallest bear to date.  At 5.75" (14cm) has been made from a heavily distressed golden tan mohair.  The fabric has been trimmed, plucked and stained to give her the appearance of time worn older bear.  She has a black stitched and waxed nose, glass eyes and a little hand painted detail to her face.  She is filled with wood wool, wood shavings and steel weight and has a slightly crunchy old bear feel.  Elara wears a hand dyed muslin dress with stitch detailing and an embriodered rose motif on the bodice. The back fastens with 4 tiny green/beige buttons and hand stitched loops, a hand knitted silk yarn scarf completes her outfit.
